This is Effective is the brainchild of company Director, Jonathan Ling. A signage and vehicle graphics expert, Jonathan boasts over 30 years’ experience in the industry. When he’s not designing, meeting with customers or overseeing installations, you can find him on the golf course or skimming the slopes on his snowboard. He is married to Sara, the joint Director, and their daughter, Amber, is also part of the team.

Having assisted Jonathan with setting up the business from its earliest days, Sara left her role in the public sector in 2019 – after 23 years! – to join Jonathan full-time. Sara immediately implemented clothes printing and embroidering, committing to learning an entirely new skillset. Sara loves to travel, is a networking guru and enjoys hatching new and exciting ideas for the business.

Amber joined This is Effective straight from college. A true entrepreneur, Amber had already set up two successful brands before the age of 21. With her flair for business, it was only natural that Sara and Jonathan bring Amber into the family business. Amber is a qualified Equine Physiotherapist, runs an equestrian fashion brand and spends most of her time with her horse Rupert or planning new business ideas.

CB joined This is Effective in 2020 and has over 30 years’ valuable engraving experience. He manages all our engraved work, from CO2 laser to mechanical and pantograph engraving. CB is married to Clare and they have 2 sons together, Jake and Zack. Outside work, CB can be found watching a match at Carrow Road, playing golf or relaxing in his hot tub.
